Located along the historic Military Walk at Texas A&M University, Rudder Plaza is an inviting destination for student interaction in the heart of campus. The Plaza’s contemporary-yet-classic design compliments the surrounding buildings, and moveable furniture allows students to create flexible seating vignettes for studying, recreation and lounging on a 3,500 square foot artificial turf lawn. Other landscape features include a hammock stand with space to accommodate up to six hammocks, an expansive shade structure, and multiple bike racks. The center of the Plaza is designed to accommodate a future monument commemorating Matthew Gaines.
