Coleman & Associates provided landscape architectural services for Austin’s new Central Public Library. This project was built upon a brownfield site – home of the old Seaholm Plant and Austin Energy Substation. This $110 million City of Austin project features a public plaza, a pedestrian connection to neighboring Shoal Creek and Lance Armstrong bikeway, streetscape plantings and entry plaza, a rooftop courtyard, and LEED-rated landscape architectural solutions – including innovative water quality control features such as biofiltration, rainwater harvesting, rain gardens, etc.

Coleman & Associates scope included design of xeriscape landscape, low water use irrigation, streetscape, and rooftop garden and courtyard in addition to coordination with the team for LEED and License Agreement, participated in stakeholder meetings and partnering sessions, and City of Austin permitting.
