Texas State University Jones Dining Hall Renovation

Jones Dining Hall was constructed in the mid 1960s and suffered from many deficiencies due to the building’s age and layout. Both the building exterior and interior received major upgrades to the systems and finishes. The new configurations provide more dining space for the University’s current population and also accommodate its projected growth of an additional 46,000 students. Coleman & Associates’ scope of work included the design of landscape and irrigation; prominent vehicular and pedestrian connections; and a plaza area on the east side of the dining hall including the terraced seating areas, decks, and outdoor study and dining bars.
