Coleman & Associates Welcomes New Partners
January 7, 2025 marks the beginning of a new chapter at Coleman & Associates! After 38 years, Aan Garrett-Coleman is thrilled to be bringing on new partners: Olivia Pitt-Perez, Marissa McKinney, Jose Perez, and Ashley Scroggs. As Coleman & Associates continues to grow, we are overjoyed to have a new and strong leadership team at the helm.

Olivia Pitt-Perez - Studio Director, Partner
Olivia has been with Coleman & Associates since 2019 and manages a range of projects for both public and private clients, including Texas A&M University Mays Business Education Complex, Austin ISD 2022 Bond Schools, the Texas Division of Emergency Management Headquarters, and Uptown ATX. She is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute Austin and Kansas State University’s Professional Advisory Board.
Marissa McKinney - President, Partner
Marissa joined Coleman & Associates in 2014 and has been instrumental in the evolution and growth of our firm across Texas. She has managed the design and operations of our business since 2017 and has naturally assumed the role as our leader. Supported by her new partners, Marissa will continue to participate in the design of our projects and remain actively involved in her contributions to our community and profession. She presently serves on the board for the Real Estate Council of Austin, the Texas Irrigation Association, and the Austin Design Commission.
Aan Garrett-Coleman - Founding Partner
Aan retains her role as Founding Partner, remaining involved in the design and quality control processes, mentoring junior employees, and providing support to the Partner Group. Aan will continue her legacy of service by working with allied professionals for the benefit of our community and advocating for the profession of landscape architecture.
Jose Perez - Quality Control Director, Partner
Jose joined Coleman & Associates in 2016, leading client presentations and managing an extensive portfolio of projects including Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park, The University of Texas at Dallas Student Success Center / Student Union, and multiple City of Austin parks projects. His keen eye for detail allows him to excel in his new role as Quality Control Director.
Ashley Scroggs - Technical Director, Partner
Ashley has been with Coleman & Associates since 2014 and has managed many of our firm’s high-profile civic projects, including the Texas Capitol Complex Mall & Garage, the Texas Department of Transportation Headquarters, Cedar Park Public Library, and Round Rock Public Library. She is passionate about client service, attention to detail, and excellence in project execution, and she currently serves on the Texas A&M University Professional Advisory Board.
